Acceptable use.

Quantiveo measures media coverage: who is being written about, by whom, how much, and how that is changing. That is what its scores, narratives and reports are for. This policy is part of the Terms of Service; using the service means agreeing to it.

What you may not do

You may not use the service or its outputs, in whole or in part, to:

  • Decide about an individual. Determine or influence any person's eligibility for credit, insurance, employment, housing, education, licensing, government benefits or any other opportunity, or set their terms for any of these.
  • Screen people. Conduct tenant, employment, background, identity or "know your customer" checks on individuals. Quantiveo is not a consumer reporting agency and its outputs are not consumer reports.
  • Watch, follow or intimidate people. Surveil, track, stalk, harass, threaten, dox or intimidate any person, or locate a person for those purposes.
  • Re-identify suppressed people. Attempt to identify, profile or reconstruct information about a person the platform has suppressed, marked private, or removed at their request, including by combining outputs with other data.
  • Profile beyond coverage. Evaluate or classify a person's trustworthiness, character, social behaviour or personal characteristics, or infer sensitive traits, for purposes unrelated to the media coverage the service measures. In the European Union this includes any practice prohibited by Article 5 of the AI Act, such as social scoring, and any use of outputs in a high-risk AI system without the obligations that system carries.
  • Extract in bulk. Scrape, crawl, mirror or download the service or its outputs beyond your plan's limits, or bypass rate limits, plan gates or other technical measures.
  • Train competing models or datasets. Use outputs to build, train or improve a dataset, index or model that competes with the service, or to train machine-learning models without our written agreement.
  • Break the law or a right. Use the service for anything unlawful, defamatory, infringing or deceptive, or republish outputs without the disclosures and credits the interface attaches to them.

What you may do

Monitor coverage of your organisation, market, competitors and the public figures relevant to your work; research narratives and their sources; brief your team; publish analysis of coverage with the attribution the service shows. When in doubt, ask legal@quantiveo.com before you build.

Enforcement

We investigate reports of misuse and may suspend or end access, revoke keys and remove content without notice where a breach is serious or ongoing; otherwise we tell you and give you a chance to fix it. We report unlawful use to authorities where the law requires or allows. Report misuse to abuse@quantiveo.com.

Draft for counsel review. This policy is in force alongside the terms of service, published 2026-09; counsel's edits will be posted here.
